ABOUT ME
Rokas Jankus is an architect and photographer based in Berlin.
Originally born in Vilnius, Lithuania he has always been drawn to the interplay between space, structure, and human experience—both in architecture and photography. His artistic approach is deeply intuitive, allowing him to capture everyday life without rigid preconceptions.
Rather than staging his shots or searching for predefined subjects, he embraces spontaneity, seeking beauty or absurdity in ordinary moments. His photography is a reflection of his thoughts and emotions, a visual diary that evolves with time. Each image he creates serves as a self-portrait of a specific moment, shaped by his perception of the world at that time.
Through his lens, Rokas transforms mundane scenes into thought-provoking compositions, balancing documentary-style observation with artistic interpretation. Whether exploring urban landscapes or intimate human interactions, his work is a continuous exploration of the transient nature of emotions, memories, and surroundings.
